Contact

If you have any questions about the content of the Connecting Climate Minds global event and/or would like to be involved in next steps please contact Peter Howitt from the Connecting Climate Minds Team.

Mental health support

The Connecting Climate Minds team recognises that discussions about climate change and mental health can be distressing. We encourage you to take care of yourself when engaging with the virtual programme, and stepping out of sessions if you need to. You may find it beneficial to do something relaxing after engaging with sessions, such as stepping outside for a walk or calling a friend.

While we are not a mental health support provider, we encourage you to seek appropriate mental health support as you feel you need. This could include support from your local health care facility, community support groups which specialise in mental health, or a national helpline if one is available.

If you are in extreme distress or mental health crisis, Find A Helpline may help you identify someone who can help. They have compiled over 1,600 free and confidential support resources available over phone, text or webchat. You are not alone, and there is help available.
